Siemens Digital Industries Software
announced today that the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli America's Cup team is using the
Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of software and services to design, simulate and
optimize its racing yacht for the forthcoming America’s Cup challenge (37th
America’s Cup).

Siemens AG
today published the notice for its next ordinary Annual Shareholders’ Meeting
on February 9, 2023. The Managing Board of Siemens AG has decided, with
Supervisory Board approval, that the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting will again be
held as a virtual event. In addition, the Supervisory Board has proposed the election
of three new members. Approval from the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting for all of
the Supervisory Board’s election proposals would mean that, in the future, half
of the ten shareholder representatives on the Supervisory Board would be female.
As part of its sustainability commitments, the company will, for the first
time, offset the carbon emissions caused by sending nearly a million
invitations.

Siemens
has been awarded a new contract to establish a distribution management
system and advanced metering infrastructure for North Delta Electricity
Distribution Company (NDEDC). As a subsidiary of the state-owned utility Egyptian
Electricity Holding Company (EEHC), NDEDC is responsible for the distribution
network of the Daqahleya, Damietta and Kafr El-Sheikh governorates and serves
about 4.5 million electrical subscribers. Siemens will be implementing an ADMS
control center for the Damietta region. This project
is funded by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and has a
value of about EUR 40 million and is known as Lot 3. Siemens already received an order with a similar scope for Egypt´s Alexandria
region in September 2022.

Siemens has
been a pioneer in sustainability for many years and is continuing to accelerate
its commitments. With the publication of its Sustainability Report covering
environmental, societal and corporate governance (ESG) for fiscal 2022, the
company announced new, more ambitious targets for its own decarbonization as
well as extensive investments. Siemens also disclosed the customer emissions avoided
through its products and solutions sold in 2022, approximately 150 million
tons, based on an updated future impact calculation methodology in accordance
with the principles outlined in the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol Reporting
Standard.

5, 2022) Deutsche Bahn (DB) is putting its latest ICE generation into service around
a week earlier than originally planned. The new ICE 3neo is making its
inaugural trip with passengers today between Frankfurt/Main and Cologne. Partners
DB and manufacturer Siemens Mobility succeeded in getting the train up and
running in record time. Despite pandemic-related restrictions and disrupted
supply chains worldwide, the inaugural passenger trip is taking place just two
and a half years after the train was ordered in July 2020.

Siemens is launching an academy for continuing education that will focus on technical up- and reskilling. At 19 regional training centers across Germany, the SiTecSkills Academy will make a comprehensive, certified portfolio of qualification measures available in new areas of digitalization and sustainability. This initiative aims to enhance employee skillsets to meet the requirements of the digital transformation within the work environment. The Academy primarily aims to provide training to employees in manufacturing, service, sales, finance, controlling and business support functions. In doing so, the SiTecSkills Academy supplements the portfolio offered by the Siemens Professional Education training unit by providing targeted occupational and technical learning opportunities. Thus, the Academy seamlessly fits into Siemens’ existing continuing education offerings. The new aspect is that this offering is available to both internal and external partners within the learning ecosystem.
The sale of Siemens
Commercial Vehicles business to Meritor closed successfully on November 30.
In May 2022, Siemens had announced the contract signing to sell Commercial
Vehicles business to Meritor, Inc. for a purchase price of around €190 million
(Enterprise Value).

Siemens is expanding its family of Reyrolle protection devices with the
launch of the 7SR46. Complementing an extensive portfolio of protection relays
for distribution and industrial grids, the primary application for the Reyrolle
7SR46 is to provide overcurrent and earth fault protection in medium voltage
distribution transformer stations. Mounted in a ring main unit, the protection
device detects cable faults on the network and operates quickly to disconnect
the fault. The 7SR46 dual powered protection relay is to be showcased at Enlit Europe, taking place in Frankfurt
from November 29 to December 1.
