FC Bayern Munich have developed a six-part video campaign called "#ItTakesMore"
that aims to take a
more honest look at success – and, in the process, show what it really takes to
make things happen, namely continuous personal development, and refusing to
rest on your laurels. In the episodes, professional
soccer players, Bundesliga basketball players and managers from FC Bayern
Munich talk, among other things, about what success means to them, how they
have always been able to rekindle their enthusiasm for their sport and, as a
result, overcome difficult phases in their career. The episodes will be
available at siemens.com/ittakesmore from November 15, 2022, and
will be released on a monthly basis.

GENERA, a global

will touch many aspects of GENERA`s business and is going to benefit end-users

Microsoft has joined the Charter of Trust
(CoT) cybersecurity initiative as of November 10, 2022. As a CoT member, Microsoft
plans to contribute its cybersecurity expertise in developing and promoting
awareness of robust security principles for a secure digital world. With the addition
of Microsoft, the Charter of Trust initiative has grown to 18 members. Siemens
and eight partners from the industrial sector founded this initiative in 2018
to drive advances in cybersecurity across industries and at a global level.

Between now and 2030, a state-of-the-art digital train
control system from Siemens Mobility will be installed as an upgrade to the
conventional train control system used by operator Hamburger Hochbahn
(HOCHBAHN) on its U2 and U4 subway lines. The new technology, known as CBTC
(communication-based train control), will allow trains to run at shorter
intervals of only 100 seconds, which will put significantly more trains on the
track in the future, thereby increasing capacity. In addition, CBTC also
improves punctuality, reliability, and energy consumption.

At the SPS trade fair
in Nuremberg from November 8 to 10, Siemens will present Version 18 of its
engineering framework TIA Portal (Totally Integration Automation Portal). If
industrial companies are to shorten their time-to-market, counteract the lack
of skilled workers, and remain competitive, they need efficient automation
engineering that can be quickly modified to meet new requirements. That’s why
the new version of the TIA Portal once again boosts engineering efficiency and
offers optimized functionalities for multi-user engineering. This means that
users can now work in teams and in parallel on projects and build and manage
shared libraries. Access rights can be assigned either individually or
group-specifically, which makes collaboration more flexible.

Smart Production Solutions (SPS) fair in Nuremberg, Germany, November. 8-10,
Siemens will be presenting technical innovations and practical examples for
greater sustainability in production. Easier, more open, more flexible and more
sustainable production and planning processes – all of this is achieved through
end-to-end automation and digitization to become a digital enterprise.

launching its new Industrial Edge Management System, an optimized license
management solution as well as new devices and apps at the SPS trade fair in

At this year’s Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal,
Siemens is showcasing the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio and references
illustrating practical applications of its open, digital business platform. The
company will outline the path towards the industrial metaverse. Chief People
and Sustainability Officer and Siemens Board Member Judith Wiese, as well as
Chief Strategy and Technology Officer Peter Körte will both attend in person
during the world‘s largest tech conference (by attendance number).

The increasing networking of machines, controls and IT systems in industrial plants leads to increasingly complex networks at the production level. To ensure reliable data exchange, high-performance Industrial Ethernet Switches with a high number of ports and data bandwidths are required. To this end, Siemens has now renewed the Industrial Ethernet Switches of its Scalance XC-/XR-300 series and upgraded them with additional functions for next-generation industrial networks. So-called managed Layer 2 switches from the Scalance X Industrial Ethernet Switch product family are now available – both as compact models and as 19-inch variants for control cabinets. The new switches thus replace the portfolio of the current Scalance X-300 series and carry the model designation Scalance XC-/XCM-300 in the compact version and Scalance XR-/XRM-300 in the 19-inch version.
