- OverIT is a leading provider of field service management software
- Advanced field service management complements the modular Grid Software Suite to create a holistic digital twin of the grid
- Field service management is business-critical for utilities
- Complementary product partners are part of the Siemens Xcelerator strategy to create an ecosystem of partners
Siemens
Smart Infrastructure has partnered with OverIT, the global leader in field
service management, to expand its ecosystem of partners for its grid software
business. Headquartered in Italy, OverIT offers a software solution to boost
productivity in workforce management and create data analytics to track, calculate and analyze
field service operations. This partnership further strengthens the Siemens
Grid Software portfolio ecosystem, enabling exponential growth in distributed renewable
energy by integrating information from all essential parts of the converging
OT/IT landscape.
As the energy sector
races to meet the deadlines of the Paris Agreement, Europe is currently facing
an energy crisis: possible gas shortages, enormous energy costs and the
challenge of keeping the grids stable even in uncertain times.
Grid operators everywhere are looking for the best strategic approach to
speeding up their energy transition towards sustainability while at the
same time ensuring stability. But where – and how – to start?
There is no time to
waste: The increasing complexity of managing electrical grids needs fast
and sustainable answers, from planning through operations to
maintenance. The key to managing this intricacy is the convergence of
operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT). By embracing
this new way of solving grid issues, power utilities are
able to turn complexity into competitive advantage – easy, fast and
at scale.
Siemens Smart
Infrastructure is leading the change. To get a glimpse of the involved
technologies, and partners, visit us on ENLIT 2022 in Frankfurt, starting Nov
29th until Dec 1st.
As every year there
will be keynote speeches, HUB sessions, product presentations, and most
importantly: think tanks to enable participation when it comes to tackling the
most pressing energy issues.
- Siemens will supply its ultra-fast EV chargers and wall or pole mounted devices across the country
- Electromin is expanding its charger network in Saudi Arabia and plans to develop EV services and infrastructure across the Middle East
Siemens agreed to
supply Electromin, the e-Mobility unit of Saudi Arabia’s lubricants and
automotive services company Petromin, with electric vehicle (EV) chargers for
its planned development of a Kingdom- and region-wide charging network.
- Versatile solution for retrofit applications and new projects
- Maintenance-free vacuum technology with up to 10,000 CO operating cycles
- Manitoba Hydro to harness the power of new SF6-free generator circuit-breaker system
Siemens is expanding its generator circuit-breaker portfolio with a new
compact version - the HB1-Compact (HB1-C). The versatile and highly
customizable solution uses maintenance-free vacuum switching technology and
addresses the most challenging of constraints. Available in L-shape and I-shape
designs, the HB1-C can be mounted either vertically or horizontally and can be
adjusted to match existing busbar connection points. Additionally, the
generator circuit-breaker and its integrated main disconnector can be fitted
with earthing switches on the generator side and/or the transformer side for
greater flexibility.
Siemens Smart Infrastructure has partnered
with SEW to support utilities globally to improve the customer and workforce experiences
for utility smart meter users and accelerate the path to a 100 percent
renewable world. Headquartered in Irvine, California, SEW
is an industry-leading
cloud platform provider specializing in digital customer experiences and workforce
experiences for utility providers. SEW’s solutions are powered by artificial
intelligence, machine learning, and IoT analytics. As the leading company for
grid software, Siemens is pushing ahead with its recently launched open,
modular, and interoperable grid software suite. It supports utilities to rethink
how they plan, operate, maintain, and optimize grids and connect the physical
and the digital worlds with an integrated OT and IT landscape. The
suite is part of Siemens Xcelerator, an open digital business platform to
accelerate digital transformation and value creation across industry,
transportation, grids and buildings. An important aspect of this strategy is an
ecosystem of partners with complementary portfolios.

Siemens once again delivered an outstanding
performance in fiscal 2022 (as of September 30, 2022). Based on strong growth momentum, all
four industrial businesses recorded increases in order intake and revenue. In
some cases, these increases were significant. Despite a continuing complex macroeconomic
environment influenced, among other things, by economic sanctions on Russia,
high inflation and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Siemens grew again in
all key markets. In addition, major interruptions in fiscal 2022 could be
avoided despite supply chain risks in the areas of electronic components, raw
materials and logistics.
At its

- Six-part series on personal development and success
- FC Bayern athletes share personal experiences
Siemens and
FC Bayern Munich have developed a six-part video campaign called "#ItTakesMore"
that aims to take a
more honest look at success – and, in the process, show what it really takes to
make things happen, namely continuous personal development, and refusing to
rest on your laurels. In the episodes, professional
soccer players, Bundesliga basketball players and managers from FC Bayern
Munich talk, among other things, about what success means to them, how they
have always been able to rekindle their enthusiasm for their sport and, as a
result, overcome difficult phases in their career. The episodes will be
available at siemens.com/ittakesmore from November 15, 2022, and
will be released on a monthly basis.
