Siemens Digital Industries Software
announced today that the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli America's Cup team is using the
Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of software and services to design, simulate and
optimize its racing yacht for the forthcoming America’s Cup challenge (37th
America’s Cup).

Siemens AG
today published the notice for its next ordinary Annual Shareholders’ Meeting
on February 9, 2023. The Managing Board of Siemens AG has decided, with
Supervisory Board approval, that the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting will again be
held as a virtual event. In addition, the Supervisory Board has proposed the election
of three new members. Approval from the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting for all of
the Supervisory Board’s election proposals would mean that, in the future, half
of the ten shareholder representatives on the Supervisory Board would be female.
As part of its sustainability commitments, the company will, for the first
time, offset the carbon emissions caused by sending nearly a million
invitations.

Siemens has
been a pioneer in sustainability for many years and is continuing to accelerate
its commitments. With the publication of its Sustainability Report covering
environmental, societal and corporate governance (ESG) for fiscal 2022, the
company announced new, more ambitious targets for its own decarbonization as
well as extensive investments. Siemens also disclosed the customer emissions avoided
through its products and solutions sold in 2022, approximately 150 million
tons, based on an updated future impact calculation methodology in accordance
with the principles outlined in the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol Reporting
Standard.

Siemens is launching an academy for continuing education that will focus on technical up- and reskilling. At 19 regional training centers across Germany, the SiTecSkills Academy will make a comprehensive, certified portfolio of qualification measures available in new areas of digitalization and sustainability. This initiative aims to enhance employee skillsets to meet the requirements of the digital transformation within the work environment. The Academy primarily aims to provide training to employees in manufacturing, service, sales, finance, controlling and business support functions. In doing so, the SiTecSkills Academy supplements the portfolio offered by the Siemens Professional Education training unit by providing targeted occupational and technical learning opportunities. Thus, the Academy seamlessly fits into Siemens’ existing continuing education offerings. The new aspect is that this offering is available to both internal and external partners within the learning ecosystem.
The sale of Siemens
Commercial Vehicles business to Meritor closed successfully on November 30.
In May 2022, Siemens had announced the contract signing to sell Commercial
Vehicles business to Meritor, Inc. for a purchase price of around €190 million
(Enterprise Value).
We have released our fourth quarter results and the preliminary figures for fiscal year 2022 on November 17, 2022. The press conference and the analyst call were broadcast live.
- Orders in fiscal 2022 climbed 17 percent on a comparable basis to €89.0 billion (fiscal 2021: €71.4 billion)
- Revenue in fiscal 2022 grew 8.2 percent on a comparable basis to €72.0 billion (fiscal 2021: €62.3 billion)
- Profit Industrial Business at record level of €10.3 billion (fiscal 2021: €8.8 billion) – Profit margin of the Industrial Business rose to 15.1 percent (fiscal 2021: 15.0 percent)
- Once again excellent free cash flow at Group level of €8.2 billion (fiscal 2021: €8.2 billion)
- Digital business revenue grew around 15 percent to €6.5 billion (fiscal 2021: €5.6 billion)
- Increased dividend of €4.25 per share (fiscal 2021: €4.00) proposed
- Outlook for fiscal 2023: Siemens expects revenue growth of 6 percent to 9 percent on a comparable basis and basic earnings per share before purchase price allocation accounting in a range of €8.70 to €9.20
Siemens once again delivered an outstanding
performance in fiscal 2022 (as of September 30, 2022). Based on strong growth momentum, all
four industrial businesses recorded increases in order intake and revenue. In
some cases, these increases were significant. Despite a continuing complex macroeconomic
environment influenced, among other things, by economic sanctions on Russia,
high inflation and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Siemens grew again in
all key markets. In addition, major interruptions in fiscal 2022 could be
avoided despite supply chain risks in the areas of electronic components, raw
materials and logistics.
At its
meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Siemens AG renewed the appointment of
Managing Board Member Judith Wiese (51). The term of the Chief People &
Sustainability Officer and Labor Director will run a further five years until
September 30, 2028.

joined Siemens two years ago. Judith holds a key role in ensuring that Siemens
can attract and retain the best people and to create an environment in which
they can thrive. At the same time, she has been at the heart of ramping up our

Hagemann Snabe, Chairman of the Siemens Supervisory Board. “Judith’s open
