Siemens Smart Infrastructure has been chosen by distribution grid
operator Distributie
Energie Oltenian (DEO) in Romania to supply its latest Advanced Distribution Management
Software (ADMS) to a control center in Craiova, a town about 200 km West of Bucharest. The
order paves the way for the distribution system operator to operate a smarter
grid and make advancements in its digital transformation journey. The ADMS is
expected to become operational by end of 2023.

Smart Infrastructure in the U.S. today unveiled a new sustainable, EV charging
concept structure designed for electrifying fleets and high demand charging
applications at scale. The new VersiCharge XL concept (UL standard) was created
to electrify new or existing parking lots and building structures quickly and
efficiently by using a modular, scalable design made in partnership with Nexii
Building Solutions using their proprietary, sustainable building material with
low carbon footprint in the U.S. The solution, which resembles a modern-day
fueling station, was developed in late 2021, and then installed in only three
days at Siemens’ research and development hub for Electrical Products and
eMobility solutions in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, USA.
Cooperation on condition-based and predictive maintenance is extended to the end of 2024 and now also includes 130 Vectron locomotives

The latest edition of Verdantix’s ‘Green Quadrant: IoT Platforms for Smart Buildings 2022’ report analyzed 17 IoT platforms for smart buildings, and evaluated Siemens Smart Infrastructure to be among the leading providers of IoT technology which addresses key priorities for real estate leaders.

Siemens Mobility was awarded a 12-year Technical Support Spares Supply Agreement (TSSSA) contract by North County Transit District (NCTD) in San Diego, California for their fleet of Siemens Sprinter Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) vehicles. With a value of $80 million, the contract includes base services for the 12-year term with a 3-year option to be performed on a task order basis if executed. These Sprinter DMU vehicles have been in revenue service since 2008.

Siemens has reached
an agreement to sell the mail and parcel business of Siemens Logistics GmbH to
the Körber Group. With this transaction, approved by the Managing and
Supervisory Boards of Siemens AG, Siemens is further implementing the rigorous
sharpening of its portfolio as a focused technology company. The purchase price
totals €1.15 billion (enterprise value). Closing is expected in the course of
the current calendar year, subject to regulatory approvals. Körber is a
world-leading technology company whose Business Area Supply Chain has grown
successfully in recent years, making the company a long-term, strategic new
owner for the mail and parcel business.

Smart Infrastructure announced it has worked with Ford on the Ford Charge
Station Pro, a custom electric vehicle (EV) charger for the Ford F-150
Lightning. This innovative charger is the first bidirectional-ready EV solution
set for release at retail customer scale to receive certification under the
newly expanded Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 9741, an important industry-wide
benchmark that ensures products meet safety standards. The new charge station
also features a peak power of 19.2kW, achieving the maximum power rating
currently available for a Level 2 charge station.

Siemens AG has signed an agreement to sell
its 50 percent stake in the Valeo Siemens e-Automotive (VSeA) joint venture to
Valeo. The positive profit impact of around 300 million Euros will be recorded
in the second quarter of fiscal 2022 and closing is expected in July 2022,
subject to regulatory approvals.
