Sinumerik MC – the open CNC for customized processing machines

The picture shows the Sinumerik MC.
Thanks to the Windows 10 operating system, the Sinumerik MC can easily integrate customized software for controlling and operating processing machines. The open operating concept and the extensive range of interfaces make it a universal, open control, which can be easily linked up to existing processing machine solutions. The CNC Sinumerik MC is optimally equipped with the latest generation of the proven Sinumerik NC kernel to meet the demands of specific industries like for example the woodworking industry. It facilitates motion control with maximum accuracy and – thanks to G code programming – offers freedom and flexibility in machine control. The integrated Simatic S7-1500F controller increases the speed of response which, in turn, improves the automation performance. Sinumerik MC offers Safety Integrated as the uniform Siemens industry standard for safety and implements the multi-layer Defense-in-Depth-Concept for IT-Security.

Another new feature is engineering in the TIA Portal which integrates the Sinumerik MC into the highly efficient engineering framework. This opens up new engineering opportunities for machine manufacturers. The conventional PLC languages and high-level language programming are available in the TIA Portal to create automation programs for the control system. This is assisted by the fast and simple commissioning offered by Sinumerik Operate for commissioning. The Sinumerik MC is the ideal CNC for customer specific processing machine solutions with individual user interfaces.
