Siemens agreed to supply Electromin, the e-Mobility unit of Saudi Arabia’s lubricants and automotive services company Petromin, with electric vehicle (EV) chargers for its planned development of a Kingdom- and region-wide charging network.

Siemens is expanding its generator circuit-breaker portfolio with a new compact version - the HB1-Compact (HB1-C). The versatile and highly customizable solution uses maintenance-free vacuum switching technology and addresses the most challenging of constraints. Available in L-shape and I-shape designs, the HB1-C can be mounted either vertically or horizontally and can be adjusted to match existing busbar connection points. Additionally, the generator circuit-breaker and its integrated main disconnector can be fitted with earthing switches on the generator side and/or the transformer side for greater flexibility.

The suite is part of Siemens Xcelerator, an open digital business platform to accelerate digital transformation and value creation across industry, transportation, grids and buildings. An important aspect of this strategy is an ecosystem of partners with complementary portfolios.

• Revenue for the fourth quarter climbed 18% year-over-year, to €20.6 billion, while orders increased 14% year-over-year, reaching €21.8 billion, for a book-to-bill ratio of 1.06

Siemens once again delivered an outstanding performance in fiscal 2022 (as of September 30, 2022). Based on strong growth momentum, all four industrial businesses recorded increases in order intake and revenue. In some cases, these increases were significant. Despite a continuing complex macroeconomic environment influenced, among other things, by economic sanctions on Russia, high inflation and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Siemens grew again in all key markets. In addition, major interruptions in fiscal 2022 could be avoided despite supply chain risks in the areas of electronic components, raw materials and logistics. 

At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Siemens AG renewed the appointment of Managing Board Member Judith Wiese (51). The term of the Chief People & Sustainability Officer and Labor Director will run a further five years until September 30, 2028. “We recognize the substantial contribution that Judith Wiese has made since she joined Siemens two years ago. Judith holds a key role in ensuring that Siemens can attract and retain the best people and to create an environment in which they can thrive. At the same time, she has been at the heart of ramping up our sustainability activities as a key pillar of business strategy,” said Jim Hagemann Snabe, Chairman of the Siemens Supervisory Board. “Judith’s open leadership style is a catalyst for the transformation of Siemens.”

Microsoft has joined the Charter of Trust (CoT) cybersecurity initiative as of November 10, 2022. As a CoT member, Microsoft plans to contribute its cybersecurity expertise in developing and promoting awareness of robust security principles for a secure digital world. With the addition of Microsoft, the Charter of Trust initiative has grown to 18 members. Siemens and eight partners from the industrial sector founded this initiative in 2018 to drive advances in cybersecurity across industries and at a global level.
