Partnering with Kantonsspital Baden (KSB) in
Switzerland, Siemens Smart Infrastructure will deploy technologies and digital
services from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to create one of the country’s
smartest hospitals. The project, a demand-driven, customized Internet of Things
(IoT) platform with over 7,000 IoT sensors, will ensure a user-centric patient
experience, improved patient care, increased energy efficiency, and optimized
operations.

Siemens and Alliander, a major Dutch network company, with its daughter company Liander, the biggest Dutch distribution system operator (DSO) in the Netherlands, have entered a strategic partnership to accelerate the energy transition and tackle key challenges in distribution grid management. Siemens’ Gridscale X platform will be used by Alliander to reduce grid congestion and increase grid utilization. It is estimated that this partnership could extend the grid usage in the Netherlands by 10 to 30 percent.

Siemens has launched SIMOCODE M-CP, an efficient and
future-proof motor management product series, especially tailored for motor
control centers (MCC). The new product series complements the existing SIMOCODE
portfolio and is designed to optimally meet the requirements of motor control
centers. SIMOCODE M-CP introduces a new standard in the industry with its
compact design, advanced functionality, and compatibility with Ethernet-based
communication. In the future, SIMOCODE M-CP can be adapted to different operational
requirements by purchasing licenses that enable additional functions depending
on the application. Motor control centers are designed to efficiently
distribute power to motors, enable precise control and monitoring, and offer
protection against overloads, short circuits, and other electrical faults. The
industries in which motor control centers are used range from chemicals,
tunnels and infrastructure, pulp and paper, mining and steel to water and
wastewater.

Green Mobility
Partners, a Vienna-based new player in the European
full-service locomotive leasing business, has placed an order for up to 50
locomotives with Siemens Mobility. The contract includes the agreed purchase of
eight Vectron MS locomotives as well as support in the service area.

Following an investment of up to €230 million, Siemens Mobility
is opening its Train Manufacturing Facility as a key part of its new Goole Rail
Village in the United Kingdom, on a site which spans 67 acres, the size of 35
football pitches. London Underground’s new Piccadilly line trains will be
assembled at the factory in Goole before they start entering passenger service
from 2025, helping Transport for London (TfL) transform rail travel across the
UK’s capital. Overall, Siemens Mobility’s investment in the region will create
up to 700 new jobs and an additional 1,700 supply chain opportunities by 2030.
This investment will strengthen local production to serve global markets.
