2021 Siemens Korea conducted 'Delivery of Daily
Necessities' in a non-contact manner at Seodaemun Social Welfare Center.
The 'Delivery of Daily Necessities' has been
carried out since 2017 by Siemens Korea 'The NANUM Volunteer Corps', with participation of employees
for packing and delivering aid kits to the needy neighbors. This year,
the program was held without on-site participation of employees in order to
prevent the spread of COVID-19. Based on a joint donation of KRW 10 million
from three entities at Siemens Korea (Siemens Ltd. Seoul, Siemens Healthineers
and Siemens Energy), daily necessity kits were prepared and delivered to
Seodaemun Social Welfare Center to support around 230 underprivileged
households.
Mr. ChewKong Lum, President and CEO of Siemens Korea, said, “To
support neighbors left unattended in the lingering coronavirus pandemic, we
decided to carry out a non-contact volunteer activity while complying with the
health and safety regulations. Siemens Korea will continue to fulfill social
responsibilities as a responsible company growing together with our local
community.”
