Siemens Mobility has
founded the subsidiary Smart Train Lease GmbH to enable customers to flexibly
supplement their fleets with rented state-of-the-art battery, hydrogen, and
electric multiple-unit trains. The Mireo Smart trains from Siemens Mobility are
available at short notice, approved for operation, and meet all required
standards for modern regional passenger transport. By providing preconfigured
trains and additional services such as maintenance, this new offer provides an
economical alternative for quickly and flexibly expanding fleets. It also
enables customers to easily test innovative and sustainable rail technologies. Smart
Train Lease GmbH is initially offering this rental model in Germany and plans
to expand it throughout Europe in the medium term.

in the Netherlands, Heliox employs approximately 330 people.

Enlighted, a leading property technology company
owned by Siemens, has announced the expanded use of artificial intelligence
(AI) in its Location Services solution, and the addition of two new partners to
the Enlighted AI partner ecosystem.

Siemens has been
awarded one of the largest single orders for SICHARGE D electric vehicle (EV)
fast chargers globally to date. The order, which comprises of 200 EV fast
chargers and digital services, was made by Astor Enerji, a manufacturer of transformer
and switchgear products to fulfill its plans to build charging stations
throughout Turkey. The company intends to set up chargers every 200 kilometers
along highways all over the country and at a number of shopping malls. By the
end of the year, at least 150 chargers are planned to be in operation, with the
remaining chargers to be delivered by February 2024.

Siemens and the electric vehicle (EV) charging platform provider Monta have partnered to facilitate the expansion of
charging infrastructure across Europe. Siemens will use Monta’s Charge Point
Management System to manage its own fleet and charging points, as well
as to serve customers with a fully-fledged solution for EV charging at work, in
public and at home, enabling high availability.

The new Berlin S-Bahn fleet has been completed today: all 106 trains of
the new series are now in service. The trains, equipped with air conditioning, state-of-the-art
passenger information systems and cameras for greater security, offer passengers a new level of
comfort and convenience. The new fleet also increases the transport capacity in parts of the
city’s S-Bahn network, thus expanding services. In the course of replacing the older trains, the
number of cars per train was also increased. For customers, this has specific benefits: longer
trains operate on the Ring lines S41/S42 as well as the S8 line, and the S8 line is extended to
Wildau during peak hours. The new S-Bahn fleet now offers a total of around 18,000 seats. The
new trains have entered service successively since the beginning of 2021, and have been
operating on lines S41, S42, S46, S47 and S8 since then.
