Initial fixed call for 60 locomotives

European Locomotive Leasing Group
(ELL), based in Vienna and Munich, and Siemens Mobility signed a framework
agreement for the delivery of up to 200 further Vectron locomotives.
Specifically, the locomotives will be provided in various power system variants
for use in both passenger and freight service. Sixty locomotives were initially
ordered and will be delivered successively beginning in 2025. This fourth
framework agreement between ELL and Siemens Mobility further reinforces the
long-standing and strong partnership between the two companies. By 2027, ELL
will have at least 301 Siemens Vectron locomotives in service and thus operate
Europe’s largest Vectron fleet. Over the medium term, the new agreement offers
ELL the possibility of increasing its Vectron fleet to over 400 locomotives.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure has today announced its collaboration with Copperleaf, a
Canadian-based provider of asset investment planning software, growing its existing
ecosystem of grid software partners. The strategic partnership aims to optimize investment
and technical grid planning for customers, including transmission system operators (TSOs)
and distribution system operators (DSOs), by combining the companies’ expertise. The shift
to a decarbonized energy future requires these organizations to adopt a holistic approach to
planning and optimization through strategic and operational considerations. The partnership
is part of the Siemens Xcelerator ever-expanding ecosystem of partners. Siemens

The
Braunschweig site of Siemens Mobility, the world’s largest and oldest
development and production site for signaling and rail automation technologies,
is celebrating its 150th anniversary today. Guests attending the event include Volker
Wissing, the Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport, Olaf Lies, the
Lower Saxony Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Housing and
Digitalization, and Roland Busch, CEO of Siemens AG. Founded by Braunschweig
businessman Max Jüdel and mechanical engineer Heinrich Büssing in 1873, the
factory was taken over in stages by Siemens in the following decades. Innovations
from Braunschweig have consistently shaped the development of railway
infrastructure worldwide. Today, Siemens Mobility continues to research and
develop technology at its Braunschweig facility that makes rail infrastructure
more efficient, sustainable, and reliable.

Siemens Mobility has completed the
acquisition of HMH, s.r.o., a Slovakian-based technology company, that offers
the MIREL national train protection system for Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary,
and Poland. With this acquisition, Siemens
Mobility is now able to offer a complete train protection portfolio covering
the Eastern European rail corridors. HMH will remain based in Bratislava,
Slovakia, and will be integrated into Siemens Mobility’s Rail Infrastructure
business unit.

Research (“ASCR”) in Vienna. Using Siemens’ next generation grid management software,
LV Insights® X, ASCR will be able to visualize the entire low-voltage network of aspern
Seestadt, a part of Vienna. aspern Seestadt is one of Europe's largest urban development
projects. With a digital twin, ASCR can identify critical segments, increase the usable
capacity of its grid, and integrate more renewable energy without additional grid expansion,
supporting their decarbonization efforts.

Delivery
of 10 Vectron MS multi-system locomotives

Beacon Rail, a rolling stock leasing company, has ordered 10
Vectron MS multi-system locomotives from Siemens Mobility. Beacon Rail plans to
have the locomotives operate along the Rhine-Alpine corridor and between the
North Sea ports and the European hinterland. This order will give Beacon Rail an
overall portfolio of 170 Vectron locomotives.

Siemens’ software has been deployed to Norwegian distribution system operator (DSO) Elvia, with the goal to future-proof its distribution grid management. Siemens’ low voltage software, LV Insights® X, and advanced distribution management system, Spectrum PowerTM 7 ADMS, are now operational and will provide Elvia with relevant insights to flexibly manage its grid and increase capacity fast. With LV Insights® X, Elvia is able to leverage existing data and create a digital twin to monitor the status of the grid, resulting in optimized outage management. This leads to cost-savings, improved grid stability and ultimately, customer satisfaction.
