The Kolping city of Kerpen, located in the German Rhine-Erft district, is planning to become a highly modern innovation center and a technology nucleus in the Rhineland region by 2032 within the framework of the "SpeicherStadtKerpen" project. With the signing of the cooperation agreement by partners innogy Westenergie, Siemens Energy and Stadtwerke Kerpen, the Kolping city with its approximately 70,000 inhabitants has reached another important milestone for this ambitious future project.

Siemens Mobility has been awarded two contracts worth around AU $190M by the New South Wales (NSW) Government in Australia to significantly upgrade the rail network in metropolitan Sydney, one of the busiest networks in the southern hemisphere. This work will improve the overall efficiency and capacity of the rail network. The total contract consists of two key packages, including the introduction of a new Traffic Management System (TMS) along with the upgrading of the Sydney Trains’ network conventional signalling to a digital ETCS-L2 train control system.

(SSB) to integrate the ‘Best Price’ option into theSSB Moveapp, making it more convenient for passengers to buy
public transport tickets. eos.uptrade utilized its XiXo ticketing software to
create a new ticketing module that automatically calculates the best possible
price at all times. Passengers no longer need to decide whether a single
ticket, a day ticket or even a weekly/monthly ticket is the right choice for
them. The automated calculation of the best price offers maximum flexibility
for passengers and operators.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is supplying the first Tier IV-certified data center in the region of Paris, France. The “Thésée” data center will meet the highest industry standards for availability and energy efficiency. Siemens will install its White Space Cooling Optimization (WSCO) smart solution to optimize the building’s energy efficiency as well as the thermal protection of the server rooms by automatically adjusting the operation of the cooling systems.

Siemens
and Orascom Construction signed an agreement with Iraq’s Ministry of
Electricity to rebuild Baiji 1 and Baiji 2 power plants in northern Iraq. The
plants will have a combined generation capacity of 1.6 gigawatts (GW) when
completed and are a major step in Siemens’ roadmap for rebuilding Iraq's power
sector that has already added more than 700 megawatts to Iraq’s grid.

The initial result of this collaboration is a new Siemens charging service called Enterprise Charging Network. agreement with Total, a broad energy group, to advance new concepts for green liquified
natural gas (LNG) production. As part of the contract, Siemens Gas and Power is
conducting studies to explore a variety of possible
liquefaction and power generation plant designs, with the ultimate goal of decarbonizing
the production of LNG.
