Siemens has acquired the UK-based consulting company Vendigital, which will
become part of Siemens Advanta, the professional services business
unit of Siemens. The transaction was signed
and closed on December 22, 2022.
- Orders rose 15 percent on a comparable basis to €24.2 billion and again reached a very high level (Q3 2022: €22.0 billion)

Siemens continued
its profitable growth trajectory in Q3 2023 (ended June 30, 2023),
with all industrial businesses achieving strong revenue growth. Order momentum
in the company’s major projects and systems business was also strong. The
book-to-bill ratio was an excellent 1.28, while the order backlog of €110 billion
was again at a record high level. Siemens confirms its outlook on group level
for fiscal 2023 and continues to expect revenue growth of 9 percent to 11 percent
and basic earnings per share before purchase price allocation accounting (EPS
pre PPA) of €9.60 to €9.90, excluding the Siemens Energy Investment.

Siemens Digital Industries Software and

which combines Siemens’ deep industry expertise with cloud services from AWS to

AWS and Siemens plan to drive adoption of Siemens’Xcelerator
as a Serviceand make Siemens’Xcelerator portfolioof integrated software, services, and application development platform more

an agreement to sell the mail and parcel business of Siemens Logistics GmbH to
the Körber Group. With this transaction, approved by the Managing and
Supervisory Boards of Siemens AG, Siemens is further implementing the rigorous
sharpening of its portfolio as a focused technology company. The purchase price
totals €1.15 billion (enterprise value). Closing is expected in the course of
the current calendar year, subject to regulatory approvals. Körber is a
world-leading technology company whose Business Area Supply Chain has grown
successfully in recent years, making the company a long-term, strategic new
owner for the mail and parcel business.

Siemens is one of the first
companies in Germany to issue a digital bond, in accordance with Germany’s
Electronic Securities Act (Gesetz über elektronische Wertpapiere, eWpG).
Worth 60 million, it has a maturity of one year and is underpinned by a public
blockchain. Issuing the bond on a blockchain offers a number of benefits
compared to previous processes. For instance, it makes paper-based global
certificates and central clearing unnecessary. What’s more, the bond can be
sold directly to investors without needing a bank to function as an
intermediary.
