Siemens Korea Signs MOU with AtkinsRéalis Korea for Cooperation in Industrial Digitalization, Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Business

Siemens Korea signed a business agreement with AtkinsRéalis Korea for cooperation in industrial digitalization, energy efficiency and sustainable business. The signing ceremony took place on November 27 at the Siemens Digital Enterprise Experience Center (KDEXc) in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Mr. HaJoong Chung, President and CEO of Siemens Korea, Mr. Tino Hildebrand, Executive Vice President and Head of Digital Industries at Siemens Korea, Mr. JinHong Kim, Director of Industrial South Korea at AtkinsRéalis, Mr. JaeHo Lim, Director of Project Engineering at AtkinsRéalis Korea, and around 10 officials from both companies attended the ceremony. 
The cooperation will focus on accelerating digital transformation and the implementation of smart factories and infrastructure across all industries by combining sustainable and energy-efficient digital solutions of Digital Industries (DI) and Smart Infrastructure (SI) at Siemens Korea with AtkinsRéalis Korea's differentiated engineering technologies. Under the agreement, the two companies will cooperate closely on projects related to plant engineering, construction, and infrastructure projects in various industries in South Korea and other countries. 
Digital Industries (DI) at Siemens Koea will work closely with AtkinsRéalis Korea in technical and consultative perspective in the areas of digitalization and smart factories, spanning hardware and software, including ▲Plant Engineering Design ▲Process Simulation & Control ▲Factory & Equipment Automation ▲Digital Twin Technology ▲ Plant Operation Training Systems. In addition, Smart Infrastructure (SI) at Siemens Korea will also strengthen its technological capabilities in areas such as ▲Building Automation ▲Fire Safety ▲Power & Lighting Control ▲Security ▲Energy and Sustainability. Moreover, AtkinsRéalis Korea will contribute technical and management capabilities in areas such as ▲Overall project management ▲End-to-End service ▲Industrial knowledge ▲ Global networks.
AtkinsRéalis, a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization, provides ▲Project management ▲Design and Engineering ▲Procurement services and ▲Construction management services for many clients in the various industry areas including Korean market. Based on its successful track records of leading major projects in the industrial sector, AtkinsRéalis Korea is leading the Digital Twin based projects in the domestic pharmaceutical industry. As a recent achievement, AtkinsRéalis Korea has successfully carried out design, engineering, procurement support services for Merck Life Science in Daejeon, and has successfully carried out design and engineering services for WuXi STA’s API manufacturing facilities in Singapore to support regulatory compliance of each region.
