Siemens Korea Digital Industries Joins Hands with CJ OliveNetworks for the Development of Smart Factory Business

According to the MOU, the two
companies will collaborate to develop applications based on hardware and software
for facility control, including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and SCADA
(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems; expand marketing and sales
activities to promote smart factory business using internal and external, on-
and off-line distribution channels; and provide technical support for the
design and installation of smart factories.
Siemens Korea will be
responsible for supply and maintenance of hardware and software, including PLC
and SCADA, sharing its digital solutions and the state-of-the art technologies
in machine equipment. CJ OliveNetworks will be responsible for the
implementation of smart factories, the management and operation of related
facilities and the co-development of the business inventory. Both companies are
expected to create synergies by combining know-how and expertise in the field
of on- and off-line distribution, further strengthening the competitiveness of
the smart factory business.
