‘The NANUM’ Volunteer Corps joined Meal Serving Volunteering
‘The NANUM’ volunteer corps with the participation of about 40 employees including Mr. ChewKong Lum, President and CEO of Siemens Korea, joined a free meal serving volunteering on September 6 at Seoul Senior Welfare Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
A contribution worth 10 million KRW was delivered to the Senior Welfare Center, reflecting the meaning of sharing and extending generous hands. Furthermore, Siemens volunteers prepared and served Duck and Mushroom Hot Pot for approximately 1,500 elderly, as well as washing dishes and cleaning up.
Mr. Lum said, “Ahead of the Chuseok holiday, we prepared the meal with all our hope that the elderly stay healthy. In terms of giving the trust back that our local customers have shown us, Siemens Korea will continuously conduct various corporate citizenship programs in order to remind the meaning of sharing and create social values.” ‘The NANUM’ volunteer corps will continue performing tailored volunteering activities in 2020 such as briquette delivery, delivery of daily necessities and environmental cleaning.
