In the context
of his speech, Dr. Vasilios Chatzikos, CEO Siemens A.E. said:
"I am very happy that after a long time, we managed to hold a big event
again in the city of Thessaloniki. The presence of our customers and their
participation indicates that they trust Siemens and perceive the company as a
valuable technology partner that will lead them to the next step of their
digital transformation. Industrial businesses in Greece have enormous potential
and should not be afraid to make changes, adopting innovative technologies and
solutions that shape tomorrow. I would like to underline that what is equally
important is the creation of an innovation ecosystem, through synergies that
will co-shape the future and make it more sustainable".
For his part,
Mr. Dimos Sapidis, CEO of Siemens Mobility in Greece and head of the Smart
Infrastructure sector, emphasized: "Never before has there been a more
urgent need to create resilient and sustainable infrastructures. The transport
sector and infrastructure in general is determined by three main factors:
climate change, population growth and digitalisation. Digitization has brought enormous
changes, but they have a positive sign. For example, in the railway sector, the
transport of passengers and cargo is now seamless, sustainable and through
solutions that combine hardware with intelligent software. This optimizes the
flow of people and goods in real time, while with the possibility of predictive
maintenance of infrastructure, providers can guarantee 100% availability."
