The Siemens Industrial Copilot has won the Hermes Award 2025. Deutsche Messe AG presents this leading industry award to a cutting-edge innovation at the opening of Hannover Messe. The award recognizes an outstanding product that combines a high degree of technological innovation with a meaningful impact on the future of industry.
“The Hermes Award is one of the industry's highest honors for innovation. With the Siemens Industrial Copilot, we’re transforming how humans interact with machines. It’s about speed and simplicity. This will make the benefits of automation widely accessible, simplifying for instance machine code generation and making complex tasks easy and fast”, said Cedrik Neike, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG and CEO Siemens Digital Industries.

Transforming industry with industrial-grade generative artificial intelligence

The Siemens Industrial Copilot is the first generative artificial intelligence (AI) product for industrial environments across the entire value chain – from design, planning, and engineering to operations and services. The generative AI-powered assistant enables for instance engineering teams to generate code for programmable logic controllers using their native language. This means that engineers can now significantly reduce their workload and offload repetitive tasks to the Siemens Industrial Copilot. The engineering of complex tasks will also be less susceptible to errors. This in turn reduces development time and boosts quality and productivity over the long term.
“The Hermes Award is a testament to the excellence and innovative spirit of our entire team,” said Rainer Brehm, CEO Factory Automation at Siemens Digital Industries. “With the Siemens Industrial Copilot, we enable our customers to become sustainable digital enterprises.”
