Siemens Smart Infrastructure is expanding its fire safety offering on Building X through newly launched applications and an application programming interface (API) to increase transparency, decrease response time in case of incidents, and enhance maintenance processes for service providers. Building X is a digital building platform that supports customers to digitalize, manage, and optimize their building operations. This leads to an enhanced user experience, increased performance, and improved sustainability. Enlighted, a leading property technology company
owned by Siemens, has announced the expanded use of artificial intelligence
(AI) in its Location Services solution, and the addition of two new partners to
the Enlighted AI partner ecosystem.

Siemens has been
awarded one of the largest single orders for SICHARGE D electric vehicle (EV)
fast chargers globally to date. The order, which comprises of 200 EV fast
chargers and digital services, was made by Astor Enerji, a manufacturer of transformer
and switchgear products to fulfill its plans to build charging stations
throughout Turkey. The company intends to set up chargers every 200 kilometers
along highways all over the country and at a number of shopping malls. By the
end of the year, at least 150 chargers are planned to be in operation, with the
remaining chargers to be delivered by February 2024.

Siemens and the electric vehicle (EV) charging platform provider Monta have partnered to facilitate the expansion of
charging infrastructure across Europe. Siemens will use Monta’s Charge Point
Management System to manage its own fleet and charging points, as well
as to serve customers with a fully-fledged solution for EV charging at work, in
public and at home, enabling high availability.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure has released key insights into the divisive nature of the infrastructure transition in a new report, titled “Siemens Infrastructure Transition Monitor 2023: The Great Divide on The Path to Net Zero.” Data from the report reveals that there is limited alignment on priorities and how best to progress towards a decarbonized and resource-efficient world. Whilst more than half of people surveyed believe the infrastructure transition is accelerating in their region, a quarter of participants - senior executives from seven major industry groups - said that progress is “too slow”, while 29 percent believe progress is “coordinated”, and 31 percent describe it as “on target”.

Innomotics has
launched in Germany as a separately managed legal entity as of July 1,
2023. Under a single roof, the supplier of motors and large drives brings together
business activities with low- to high-voltage motors, geared motors,
medium-voltage converters and motor spindles as well as project and service
offerings for this product portfolio. The company’s operating headquarters are
located in Nuremberg, Germany. The carveout in Germany has now been completed. The
global carveout is also to be largely completed by the beginning of the new
fiscal year on October 1, 2023. In the future, Innomotics will comprise the previous
corresponding businesses from the units Large Drives Applications and Digital
Industries, as well as the separately managed Siemens companies Sykatec and
Weiss Spindeltechnologie. Worldwide, around 15,000 people are working at
Innomotics to realize growth potential and thus secure the company’s future market
success as a trailblazing specialist for motors and large drives.

Pharmaceutical
company Pfizer has opened a new high-containment manufacturing facility in
Freiburg, Germany, using technology and services from Siemens to make it one of
the most modern and sustainable of its kind. Potentially producing up to seven
billion tablets a year for more than 180 countries, the plant uses an
innovative containment concept - monitored and controlled by Building Services
from Siemens Xcelerator portfolio - which ensures employee safety and results
in a 40 percent reduction in energy use in its environmental control system,
compared to a traditional facility.
