Siemens has reached
an agreement to sell the mail and parcel business of Siemens Logistics GmbH to
the Körber Group. With this transaction, approved by the Managing and
Supervisory Boards of Siemens AG, Siemens is further implementing the rigorous
sharpening of its portfolio as a focused technology company. The purchase price
totals €1.15 billion (enterprise value). Closing is expected in the course of
the current calendar year, subject to regulatory approvals. Körber is a
world-leading technology company whose Business Area Supply Chain has grown
successfully in recent years, making the company a long-term, strategic new
owner for the mail and parcel business.

Siemens Global Business Services (GBS), the provider of business processes and services within Siemens AG, and Celonis, the market leader in Execution Management Systems (EMS), have today signed a letter of intent to enter a strategic partnership. Through this collaboration, the partners aim to help customers by enabling them to optimize their internal processes even faster across all parts of their companies. By combining the best solutions from their two worlds, Siemens GBS and Celonis aim to accelerate growth for the customers.

Siemens is launching an academy for continuing education that will focus on technical up- and reskilling. At 19 regional training centers across Germany, the SiTecSkills Academy will make a comprehensive, certified portfolio of qualification measures available in new areas of digitalization and sustainability. This initiative aims to enhance employee skillsets to meet the requirements of the digital transformation within the work environment. The Academy primarily aims to provide training to employees in manufacturing, service, sales, finance, controlling and business support functions. In doing so, the SiTecSkills Academy supplements the portfolio offered by the Siemens Professional Education training unit by providing targeted occupational and technical learning opportunities. Thus, the Academy seamlessly fits into Siemens’ existing continuing education offerings. The new aspect is that this offering is available to both internal and external partners within the learning ecosystem.

acquisition of Yunex Traffic from Siemens Mobility for €950 million
Siemens Mobility has successfully
completed the sale of Yunex Traffic to Atlantia S.p.A. for €950 million. In
January 2022, Siemens had announced the contract signing to sell the Intelligent Road Infrastructure and Traffic Solutions
Business to Atlantia S.p.A. Following the required
approvals by the relevant authorities, the transaction has closed as of
June 30, 2022.

At the Siemens AG Annual Shareholders’ Meeting that was held today, the shareholders decided by a large majority of 99.91 percent to approve
the Managing and Supervisory Boards’ proposal that a dividend of €4.70 per
share be distributed for fiscal 2023. As a result, Siemens has raised the
dividend €0.45 compared to the prior year and has continued to pursue its
progressive dividend policy in an impressive manner. In addition, the Annual
Shareholders’ Meeting voted by large majorities to ratify the acts of the
members of the Managing and Supervisory Boards for fiscal 2023. The number of
people following the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting worldwide peaked at more than 4,395. Around 147 questions were asked during
this year’s event, and about 64.38 percent
of the voting stock was represented.

12, 1847, Siemens started operations as a small factory workshop with ten
employees manufacturing pointer telegraphs, in a courtyard tucked away behind a
building on Schoeneberger Strasse in Berlin. Now, 175 years later, Siemens has more
than 300,000 employees around the world and, with around €62 billion in annual
revenue, is one of the world’s largest technology powerhouses. On
October 1, 1847, 11 days before operations began, Werner von Siemens and
precision mechanic Johann Georg Halske had completed the company’s official
founding. Today, October 12, 2022, Siemens is marking its 175th birthday with a
celebratory event at the Schaltwerk factory in the Siemensstadt section of
Berlin. German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, together with numerous guests
from the realms of politics, business and academia will join the anniversary event.

Siemens started
fiscal 2023 (to December 31, 2022) with a strong performance and maintained its
continuing growth momentum with very good results in Q1. The company leveraged
growth opportunities in its key markets despite a still complex macroeconomic
environment. Following the strong start in fiscal 2023, Siemens raises its
outlook for fiscal 2023. For the Siemens Group, the company now expects
comparable revenue growth, net of currency translation and portfolio effects,
in the range of 7 percent to 10 percent (previously expected at 6 percent to 9 percent)
and continues to expect a book-to-bill ratio above 1. Furthermore, Siemens now
expects this profitable growth of its industrial businesses to drive an
increase in basic EPS from net income before purchase price allocation
accounting (EPS pre PPA) to a range of €8.90 to €9.40 (previously expected at
€8.70 to €9.20) in fiscal 2023.
