- Monitoring of all 3-phase grids from 200 V to 690 V nominal voltage
- Frequency monitoring from 15-70 Hz for more detailed information
- IO-Link enables transmission and evaluation of measured values in the
controller or higher-level systems
- Certification according to SIL 1 (IEC 62061) and PL c (EN ISO 13849-1)
standards for a wide range of applications
Siemens has launched a new generation of line monitoring relays. The SIRIUS 3UG5 line monitoring relays combine proven technology with new functions and applications. The relays are the easiest way to monitor standards-compliant grid stability and quality, ensuring proper system operation and a long service life of components such as motors or compressors. Grid monitoring relays are used in critical areas such as hospitals or the process industry, which require a high-quality, fail-safe supply of power. Other areas of application include cranes, elevators, air, and air-conditioning compressors, as well as the timber industry.
- Innovative Sentron 3WA circuit breaker series part of Siemens Xcelerator
- Designed to improve ease of use, reliability, and digitalization when integrating into existing systems
- Essential for critical infrastructure, such as hospitals or data centers
- 3WA1 (IEC), 3WA2 (UL489), and 3WA3 (UL1066+IEC) offer worldwide compatibility
Siemens has launched two new additional
versions of its innovative Sentron 3WA Power Circuit Breakers, alternatively
known as Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs). Series 3WA3 meets the requirements of UL
1066 and IEC 60947-2 standards, which enables customers to use it worldwide.
This is particularly advantageous for switchgear manufacturers and OEMs producing
systems for both standardization areas – IEC and UL. The 3WA2 series is
designed exclusively for the UL 489 market. The two new ACB model series
complement the 3WA1 version for IEC markets, which has been launched in the
fall of 2020. Siemens offers a full range of ACBs which are based on a
consistent system and offer great flexibility for applications around the
globe. The Sentron 3WA Power Circuit Breakers are part of the Siemens
Xcelerator portfolio. Siemens Xcelerator is an open digital business platform
that enables customers to accelerate their digital transformation easier,
faster, and at scale.

- LV Insights X software key to accelerating energy transition and path to net zero
- Future-proof software to increase grid capacity in existing power networks
- Distribution grid operators can set up digital twin of low-voltage grids
- Reduced outage times by up to 30 percent, increased insights on critical segments, capacity and limit violations of power grid
- LV Insights X is part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio
Siemens is taking
another important step to accelerate the energy transition: As an industry
first, the company today presented its newly developed software for low-voltage
grids. LV Insights X software, part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio,
enables distribution grid operators (DSO) to tackle their most pressing
challenge: the need to significantly increase grid capacity while grids are
already pushed to their limits by the fast increase of decentralized renewable
energy infeed and additional consumers such as EV chargers or heat pumps. To avoid
power grids from becoming the bottleneck of the energy transition, utilities urgently
need to increase their grid capacity and actively manage the low-voltage grid.
