of 100 points in the latest EcoVadis Sustainability Rating and was awarded the
platinum certificate for sustainability. With this score, the company ranked in
the top 1 percent of the assessed companies and was the leading company in the
rail industry. Siemens Mobility achieved progress in all strategic
sustainability categories evaluated by EcoVadis in environment, labor and human
rights, ethics, and sustainable value chains.

Siemens Mobility has won the order for the delivery of 28 three-car
electric Mireo regional trains for the “Digital Node Stuttgart” (DKS) pilot
project of “Digital Rail Germany” (DSD). The trains will have complete DSD
equipment, including the latest automatic ETCS (European Train Control System) and Level 2 (GoA 2) Automatic Train Operation (ATO). The Mireo will be capable
of operating on steep grades and be approved for operation in Austria. The
framework agreement, signed with the State Institute for Rail Vehicles Baden-Württemberg
(SFBW), includes a ten-year maintenance contract with an option for extending
it by a further 20 years. The trains will be delivered in record time between
November 2025 and April 2026. The order is worth approximately €300 million.

Siemens Mobility has signed a Memorandum of
Cooperation (MoC) with governments and industry, aimed at enhancing rail
interoperability throughout Australia and addressing long-standing legacy
issues in the rail industry. The signing took place at Siemens Mobility Port
Melbourne manufacturing site where signalling products are locally designed and
manufactured with Australian Made certification.

Passengers on Munich’s S-Bahn can soon look
forward to traveling on the most modern S-Bahn trains in Germany. Siemens
Mobility will deliver 90 superlative new S-Bahn trains worth more than two
billion euros after winning an EU-wide tender. The contract includes an option
for additional trains. Financing for the trains is guaranteed by the State of
Bavaria through a leasing model.
Siemens Mobility and
Deutsche Bahn have jointly launched a groundbreaking project that takes public
transportation in Munich to a new level. As part of this pioneering
collaboration, modern S-Bahn trains have been developed to provide passengers
with an even more pleasant and efficient travel experience. The new S-Bahn
trains not only promise increased capacity but also set new standards in terms
of comfort, sustainability, and technology.

Akiem, a leading European
rolling stock leasing company, has ordered an additional 15 Vectron AC and
Vectron MS locomotives from Siemens Mobility. The order was placed as part of a
framework agreement for the purchase of locomotives that was signed in December
2021. Locomotives from this new call will be delivered between 2025 and 2027.
Akiem previously ordered 20 Vectron locomotives from Siemens Mobility in December
2021 and an additional 65 units last August.

The technology company Siemens and BayWa AG are working together to advance CO2-optimized industrial production. As part of a pilot project, the two companies are combining Sigreen, Siemens’ software for emissions management, with BayWa Carbon Connect, BayWa’s software for emissions offsetting.

Siemens
Mobility has received an order from MSC subsidiary MEDWAY Belgium NV for 15 Vectron
MS locomotives. MEDWAY plans to use the locomotives for cross-border freight
transport in Europe and also for supplementing container transport by ship in
serving the eastern hinterland of Antwerp.

The technology company Siemens has opened a new test laboratory for industrial connectivity technologies at its Erlangen site. Embedded in the Siemens Technology Center on the Erlangen campus, the Industrial Connectivity Lab offers 300 square meters of space for extensive testing of any connectivity solution in industrial environments: Industrial WLAN, 5G, real-time localization systems (RTLS), and radio frequency identification (RFID).
