- Norwegian distribution system operator, Elvia, to use Siemens’ SaaS product, LV Insights® X, to automate processes and handle grid complexity in the LV grid
- LV Insights® X, part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, has been operational at Elvia in conjunction with Spectrum Power TM 7 ADMS since October 2023
- Partnership will enable future-proof distribution grid management in Norway, one step further on the journey towards autonomous grids
Siemens’ software has been deployed to Norwegian distribution system operator (DSO) Elvia, with the goal to future-proof its distribution grid management. Siemens’ low voltage software, LV Insights® X, and advanced distribution management system, Spectrum PowerTM 7 ADMS, are now operational and will provide Elvia with relevant insights to flexibly manage its grid and increase capacity fast. With LV Insights® X, Elvia is able to leverage existing data and create a digital twin to monitor the status of the grid, resulting in optimized outage management. This leads to cost-savings, improved grid stability and ultimately, customer satisfaction.
- Ricoh and Siemens start collaboration to develop the solution for aluminum Binder Jetting Technology for mass production
- As the first step of the collaboration, Ricoh has implemented Siemens’ Additive Manufacturing Network to build a full digital process to optimize its internal process and machine management for aluminum binder jetting technology – from print job preparation, through manufacture, to delivery of components
- Ricoh also aims to leverage the Additive Manufacturing Network capabilities to digitally transform its process service provision to a wide spectrum of industrial additive manufacturing focused customers
Siemens Digital Industries Software has today announced that Ricoh have begun
a collaboration to realize the industrial aluminum Binder Jetting (BJT)
solution for mass production. Ricoh is leveraging Siemens’ Additive
Manufacturing Network capabilities to maximize the efficiency of the process
and to achieve the scale required to take advantage of BJT in an industrial
setting.
- New hardware and software available for Siemens' Industrial Edge ecosystem
- Industrial Edge Management System now cloud-based As-a-Service
- Low code for Industrial Edge: Simplifying edge app programming with Mendix on Edge
- Market launch at this year's SPS trade show in Nuremberg as part of Siemens Xcelerator
Industrial companies are increasingly relying on
what’s known as edge computing in their production. It allows them to capture
and process data where it’s generated: at the field level in the plant. At this
year's SPS trade show in Nuremberg, the technology company Siemens is expanding
its range of products and services for Industrial Edge at all levels. This will
allow users to connect their information technology (IT) even better with the
operational level (OT). Industrial Edge is also part of the portfolio of the Siemens
Xcelerator open and flexible business platform.

Passengers can first experience the new
interior design of the 17th ICE 3neo
- New seats, functions,
materials, and colors
- DB to receive 73 more ICE 3neos with new interior
design by 2028
The
new ICE interior design celebrated its premiere today in the 17th
ICE 3Neo. Among its numerous innovations: The completely redeveloped seats are
designed as a personal retreat, offering improved adjustment options and even
greater comfort. The interior’s harmonious new look features modern materials
like wood décor accents and premium 85-percent wool upholstery in finely
nuanced colors. Seats in the 1st class are finished in warm gray
tones, while blue tones dominate in the 2nd class and burgundy red defines
the on-board restaurant. Additional passenger functionality is provided by features
like integrated tablet holders and coat hooks in each backrest. With this new interior
design, DB is pursuing its strategy to renew its train fleet and further
improve travel comfort and convenience. At the Frankfurt Central Station today,
representatives of DB and Siemens saw off the new train on its premiere
passenger trip to Cologne – three months earlier than originally planned.
