Siemens has reached
an agreement to sell the mail and parcel business of Siemens Logistics GmbH to
the Körber Group. With this transaction, approved by the Managing and
Supervisory Boards of Siemens AG, Siemens is further implementing the rigorous
sharpening of its portfolio as a focused technology company. The purchase price
totals €1.15 billion (enterprise value). Closing is expected in the course of
the current calendar year, subject to regulatory approvals. Körber is a
world-leading technology company whose Business Area Supply Chain has grown
successfully in recent years, making the company a long-term, strategic new
owner for the mail and parcel business.

has completed the acquisition of Heliox, a technology leader in DC fast
charging solutions, serving eBus and eTruck fleets and passenger vehicles. Headquartered

energy blueprint for the world’, a new documentary
film produced by Siemens, has just launched on Amazon Prime Video in the U.S.,
U.K. and Germany. The film narrates the story of Wunsiedel, a small town in the
German region of Bavaria, and its inspiring energy transition journey. The town
of around 10,000 people has successfully created a distributed energy system based
exclusively on renewable sources and enhanced with digital technology, making
it a lighthouse project for a sustainable energy future.
Siemens increase its global cybersecurity
offering with the official inauguration of the Critical Infrastructure Defense
Center (CIDC) in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. The center is the first
facility of its kind in the Siemens realm dedicated to Critical Infrastructure
Protection (CIP) focused on Operations Technology (OT). Services provided by
the center will range from advisory to managed and research services, with a
mission to secure the advancement of a decarbonizing digital world. The team of
cyber experts based in Fredericton will support cyber and physical security
needs of Canada as well as projects in the US, Europe and the Middle East.

Siemens Logistics’ mail and parcel business to the Körber Group closed
successfully on July 1. In February 2022, Siemens had announced the
contract signing for the sale of the mail and parcel business to the Körber
Group for €1.15 billion (enterprise value).

Siemens Digital Industries Software and
Daimler Truck AG today announced a new collaboration to implement a state-of-the-art
digital engineering platform built using the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of
software and services. The new platform will enable Daimler Truck to explore a
future of commercial vehicle innovation and the efficient product development
and lifecycle management of trucks and buses and will be rolled out globally
across Daimler Trucks’ engineering hubs, brands and business segments.

Siemens Energy is building
another highly efficient combined cycle power plant for the specialty chemical
company Evonik at its largest industrial location in Marl, North
Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Consisting of one SGT-800 gas turbine, one SST-400
steam turbine, and two generators, the plant will produce power and heat with
90 megawatts of electrical capacity and 220 megawatts of thermal capacity. It
will go into operation in 2022 replacing a backup gas power plant. Along with
the power plant components, Siemens Energy is also supplying the SPPA-T3000
control system for controlling the cutting-edge plant. A long-term service
agreement between Siemens Energy and Evonik will ensure the availability of the
power plant and its components.
- SPIC to acquire 33% of GNA I and GNA II 3 GW LNG-to-power projects

Prumo, a private Brazilian company controlled by EIG Global Energy Partners, bp and Siemens signed a binding agreement with SPIC Brasil. Under the agreement, SPIC will initially acquire 33% of the GNA I and GNA II LNG-to-power projects, located in Port of Açu, Rio de Janeiro. SPIC has also entered into an agreement to participate in the future expansion projects GNA III and GNA IV, which are expected to be fueled by a combination of LNG and domestic gas from Brazil’s vast pre-salt reserves.
