Commitment to Digital Transformation
Siemens' longstanding presence in Malaysia has played a crucial and enduring role in supporting nation-building efforts and introducing cutting-edge technologies across various sectors. This support helps businesses enhance their digital capabilities, increase productivity and operate sustainably.
Siemens is partnering with the Selangor State Government as a technology advisor to accelerate digital transformation in the state. Through this collaboration, Siemens will offer advisory services across various sectors, including agrotechnology, communication and transportation (encompassing automotive and electric vehicles), electrical and electronics, engineering and machinery, and supply and distribution (covering ports and logistics). The goal is to boost Selangor's economic growth and attract new investments.
Additionally, Siemens is working with the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDC) to enhance local talent through training programs that integrate Siemens' advanced technologies into the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program. This partnership also facilitates the exchange of globally-utilized syllabi and concepts across Southeast Asia.
As the only player in the semiconductor industry offering comprehensive solutions across the entire value chain - from research and design to production - Siemens is committed to advancing the National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS). Siemens supports NSS’s goals related to enhancing manufacturing processes and developing the workforce within Malaysia’s semiconductor sector.
With sustainability at its core, Siemens is supporting Malaysia’s transition to a net-zero energy future by delivering energy solutions that reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainability. This includes managing over 3.9 million smart meters nationwide using Siemens Energy’s IP software solution – Meter Data Management and advancing grid digitalization to facilitate renewable energy integration.
