HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan on high-level visit to Siemens in Munich
His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan visited the Siemens global headquarters in Munich on Friday. He was received by Joe Kaeser, President and CEO, and Roland Busch, Managing Board Member and CTO, of Siemens AG. During the visit, Sheikh Zayed toured the iconic headquarter building and received a briefing on Siemens’ long-term presence in the United Arab Emirates, its technologies and innovations and their positive impact on business and society.
Among other topics discussed during the tour was the UAE’s ambition to build a sustainable, diversified economy and how Siemens is supporting it. The company’s contributions to key infrastructure projects in the emirates as well as its commitment to preparing the country’s youth for the digital transformation through software grants were also highlighted.
Siemens recently announced plans to boost investments into its digital presence in the Middle East with US$500 million over the next three years. Over the past years, Siemens has also focused on strengthening its Research and Development (R&D) capabilities in the region.
