Siemens organizes training for the mechanical engineers of the Egyptian Grand Museum

Siemens was selected for the award of phase II of the Egyptian Grand Museum with scope of work that included; supply & installation of the following systems; electromechanical, light current, fire alarm, fire fighting, and water treatment systems. Following the successful completion of the first phase, Siemens Building Technologies Division was awarded with a renewed annual contract for all the operation and maintenance works of the museum.
The Grand Egyptian Museum will house the most and latest security systems from Siemens to ensure the conversion and safety of all the artifacts, in addition to other sophisticated technologies. Siemens Building Technologies, Division Head, Khaled Shohdy commented, “Siemens is proud to be a part of Egypt’s future landmark projects. The museum will be the first iconic building in Egypt’s modern history.”
The training provided attendees with an opportunity to learn more about the latest technologies with regard to products, systems and innovations with a particular focus on mechanical and electrical maintenance.
During the training, executives from Siemens Building Technologies Division highlighted the best practices that helps keep the museum technical infrastructure at its most efficient level and ensure innovative, cost effective solutions in the fields of security and fire protection and energy management.
The state-of-the-art Grand Museum will be located on the Cairo-Alexandria highway overlooking the Grand Pyramids. The museum will be the largest and most important Pharaonic museum in the world, the largest museum in Egypt and one of the leading centers of scientific, historical and archaeological study on the globe. It will include also, a children museum, conference centre, training centre, and workshops similar to the old Pharaonic places.
