Siemens: A trusted national partner in Qatar
Siemens' selection as host
of the inaugural German Tech Talks in Qatar underscores its long-standing
partnership in Qatar, spanning more than 50 years, and its commitment to the
country's next phase of development.
As Qatar's physical infrastructure scaled, new challenges emerged in managing it efficiently without massive manual oversight. Siemens has been at the forefront of deploying industrial AI to make the national infrastructure intelligent, resilient, and sustainable.
At the inaugural session of the German Tech Talks in Qatar, Siemens hosted a talk, a panel, and a virtual reality innovation tour to showcase how industrial AI is accelerating Qatar's infrastructure transformation by creating a connected, intelligent ecosystem that helps achieve Qatar's National Vision 2030 for a sustainable, smart, efficient, and economically diverse future.
The era of industrial AI
Industrial AI is no longer a future promise. It is already operational across a wide range of infrastructure in the Middle East, delivering measurable results. According to the Siemens 2026 Infrastructure Transition Monitor, 62% of executives expect AI to transform how their organization operates within the next three years, and 61% say it is already making critical infrastructure more resilient.
As a leader in industrial AI, Siemens applies deep domain knowledge to real-world infrastructure applications across the region, spanning buildings, industries, and grids.
In partnership with Qatar's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Siemens co-developed a massive Crowd Management Digital Twin. This platform processes real-time data from public transport providers like Mowasalat (Karwa) to run simulations, safely direct foot traffic, and allocate mass transit resources during mega-events.
In Qatar, Siemens also promotes knowledge and skill development, bridging the gap between academia and industry to ensure the future workforce is adequately equipped for a future digital economy. In July 2026, Siemens and the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) signed an MoU to establish a Smart Grid Living Lab and promote collaboration in energy innovation, research, and workforce development.
Building on the momentum of the inaugural session
Future editions of German Tech Talks in Qatar are planned to cover AI, green tech, mobility, cybersecurity, and digital transformation, further deepening collaboration among the German and Qatari governments, industry, and academia to support the two countries' shared ambitions.
