Siemens has appointed Eva Mouriño Bustillo as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the company’s Middle East region. In her new role, Mouriño will be responsible for defining and implementing HR strategies across the growing organization, which employs around 8,000 people from more than 80 nationalities. She takes over from Harry Hollier, who retires from Siemens after more than 37 years with the company.
Commenting on the appointment, Dietmar Siersdorfer, CEO of Siemens Middle East and UAE, said: “I am delighted to welcome Eva to the team. The Middle East is a rapidly growing region for Siemens, and Eva’s international experience makes her the perfect person to ensure our diverse company continues to be viewed as an employer of choice for the best and brightest. I would also like to thank Harry for his many years of hard work with Siemens and his dedication to our employees. We wish him all the best with his future endeavors.”
Over the last 20 years Mouriño has gained professional experience across international organizations in Latin America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She joins Siemens from RB Middle East, where she was responsible for the company’s people strategy for Europe, Russia, CIS and Australia. Prior to this, Mouriño held senior management positions at a series of multinational organizations including AstraZeneca, Alstom Power and ABB.
“People are a company’s greatest asset and I feel privileged to be in a position where I can help people grow in this fast-developing region. I am excited to be a part of the regional management team and the community of Future Makers at Siemens to continue building an agile, high-performing organization,” said Mouriño. “HR is an essential element of driving business growth, so I believe it’s important to foster a culture which encourages people to develop and grow.”
Mouriño holds degrees in Industrial and Electrical Engineering from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in Spain, and an Executive MBA from ESADE Business School in Spain.
