Siemens appoints HaJoong Chung as President and CEO of Siemens Korea
With extensive knowledge and
experience built during various executive roles at Siemens in energy, mobility,
and smart infrastructure business areas, Mr. Chung will continue to drive
growth and innovation in the company and lead business expansion.
Over the last 21 years, Mr. Chung
has demonstrated excellent leadership skills built based on a wide range of
field experience in various business areas both in Korea and at the headquarters
in Germany. Mr. Chung joined Siemens Korea as Head of Energy Automation Department in 2000. In 2007, for
the first time among Korean employees, he was appointed Asia-Pacific Regional Manager for Energy Automation Business
at Siemens AG. In 2009, he returned to Siemens Korea as Head of Power
Transmission & Distribution Division at Energy Sector. In 2012, he headed
the Oil & Gas, Power Transmission Divisions, Electrical &
Instrumentation Department in the Energy Sector as well as the Low & Medium
Voltage, and Smart Grid Divisions in the Infrastructure & Cities Sector. In
2014, he became Head of Energy Management Division and Mobility Division,
achieving remarkable business growth. He has served as CEO of Siemens Mobility
Ltd., Seoul since 2018 and as Head of Smart Infrastructure at Siemens Korea
since 2019, contributing to the reinforcement of the company’s new growth
engines.
Mr. HaJoong Chung, President

Mr. Chung obtained an MBA
degree from Korea University and completed the Advanced Management Program at
Seoul National University. He also completed the Digital Transformation EMBA
program at IE Business School in Spain and earned his MBA degree from ESMT
(European School of Management and Technology) in Germany.
