Siemens appoints ChewKong Lum as President and CEO of Siemens in Korea

Siemens recently announced the official appointment of Mr. ChewKong Lum as President & CEO of Siemens in Korea effective August 1, 2019. After successfully performing the role of Acting CEO for the past 16 months, Mr. Lum will now continue his responsibilities as CEO in addition to the current role as CFO of Siemens in Korea (Siemens Ltd. Seoul, SLS). Under his leadership, SLS will be putting stronger focus into driving business expansion in Korea.

Siemens recently announced the official appointment of Mr. ChewKong Lum as President & CEO of Siemens in Korea effective August 1, 2019. After successfully performing the role of Acting CEO for the past 16 months, Mr. Lum will now continue his responsibilities as CEO in addition to the current role as CFO of Siemens in Korea (Siemens Ltd. Seoul, SLS). Under his leadership, SLS will be putting stronger focus into driving business expansion in Korea.
As a native Singaporean, Mr. Lum holds a BA in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. Mr. Lum is considered a traditional ‘Siemens Man’ with deep expertise and experience in multiple Financial and Commercial Functions throughout many Siemens locations in Asia Pacific regions and Europe. Having served the company for 23 years since joining Siemens Singapore in 1996, Mr. Lum took up various responsibilities in Siemens Singapore and Siemens AG, including Commercial management, Business Development, Sales and Project Management. In 2004, Mr. Lum was appointed Senior Executive Vice President & CFO of Siemens Business Communications Systems at Shanghai, China. After serving for 5 years in China, Mr. Lum joined Siemens Ltd. Seoul in 2009 as Senior Executive Vice President & CFO and was appointed President & CEO after serving SLS for 10 years.
