Siemens Korea (Siemens Ltd. Seoul·SLS) will be participating in “Smart Factory + Automation World 2019,” Korea’s largest industrial automation exhibition, held at COEX, Seoul, from March 27 to March 29. Siemens will set up the largest booth among exhibitors.
Under the theme “Digital Enterprise - Accelerate Industry,” SLS will address directions for the future manufacturing industry by showcasing various smart factory solutions. This year, SLS will introduce application proposals for the digitalization in industry fields such as electronics in which the local market is highly specialized, and also the cloud-based open IoT operating system “MindSphere”. In particular, SLS will set up a stage at its exhibition booth and will introduce the latest industry trends to visitors.
“The directions for the future of industry and the industrial workflow are undergoing a rapid change due to the development of IT solutions including AI, machine learning and digital marketplace.” said Dieter Schletterer, Head of Digital Factory, and Process Industries & Drives Division at SLS. “With this in mind, it is necessary for organizations to develop new business models through innovative future technologies, such as AI and edge computing, as well as to transform into a digital enterprise - the factory of the future. SLS will actively support domestic companies’ digitalization strategies through various innovative solutions.” Meanwhile, Mr. Schletterer will deliver a speech at the Smart Factory Conference on March 29, held in conjunction with “Smart Factory + Automation World 2019.” On the topic of “Digitalization Changes Everything,” he will present the opportunities that digitalization can bring to each industry.
At this year’s event, the 30th AIMEX, the 8th Korea Vision Show, and the 5th Smart Factory Expo will be held simultaneously, while a total of three smart factory models will be demonstrated at the exhibition.
About 550 companies from at home and abroad will participate. Siemens booth being the largest independent booth at over 462㎡, will be located in Hall C, #C160 on the third floor of COEX Convention Center. SLS will provide a customized exhibition booth tour in order to help customers gain better understanding of the available solutions. SLS will also conduct business meetings with customers and introduce SLS solutions and products.
