Siemens Korea Participates in KGCCI Joint CSR
Marathon Campaign
On September 16,
Siemens Korea participated in the ‘140 Guide Walkers’, a joint CSR campaign held by the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce
and Industry (KGCCI) with employees from German companies in Korea for
attending to the ‘9th Harmony Marathon with the
Visually Impaired’ at Ttukseom Hangang Park while
celebrating the 140th anniversary of Korean-German diplomatic relations.
On September 16,
Siemens Korea participated in the ‘140 Guide Walkers’, a joint CSR campaign held by the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce
and Industry (KGCCI) with employees from German companies in Korea for
attending to the ‘9th Harmony Marathon with the
Visually Impaired’ at Ttukseom Hangang Park while
celebrating the 140th anniversary of Korean-German diplomatic relations.
Around 300
walkers from KGCCI member companies including Mr. HaJoong Chung, President
& CEO, Mr. Frank Zimmermann, Senior Executive Vice President & CFO, and
Mr. Tino Hildebrand, Vice President & Head of Digital Industries (DI)
together with 20 employees and family members from Siemens Korea participated
in the 5 km walking course to celebrate the occasion together.
Co-hosted and organized
by Seoul Sports Association for the Differently-abled (SSAD) and Seoul Blind
Sports Association (SBSA), ‘Harmony Marathon with the
Visually Impaired’ aims to promote disability awareness
throughout society and support independent activities for the visually
impaired. All donations from KGCCI member companies including the participation
fee and the 140 specially produced canes will be used to enhance vision and
life quality for the visually impaired.
