participates in 2020 APEC SMEs Smart Factory Forum
On November 24, Digital Industries at Siemens Korea participated in the ‘2020 APEC SMEs Smart Factory Forum’ held by the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) as a keynote speaker.
The forum was co-hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), with the participation of Carlos Alves, Director of Siemens Korea Digital Industries, HanGu Park, Head of the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Group, JaeHong Lee, Head of the SMEs Agency, and other key official companies. Based on the quarantine rules, the forum was simultaneously broadcasted online.
Under the theme ‘Boosting Smart Factory Networks for APEC countries to cope with the Fourth Industrial Revolution’, the event was followed by technologies and trends related to smart innovation, domestic and foreign policy analysis, and best practice sharing.
During his keynote speech about ‘Digital Transformation for SMEs and Startups’, Carlos Alves emphasized challenges and opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and introduced smart manufacturing innovation strategies based on digital twin technologies and best practices using them.
