Dr. JongKap Kim, Chairman & CEO of Siemens Ltd. Seoul delivered a keynote speech at 'Industry 4.0 Conference 2017'

On November 9, Dr. JongKap Kim, Chairman & CEO of Siemens Ltd. Seoul delivered a keynote speech under the theme ‘Digital Transformation - Trends and Prospects’ during the 'Industry 4.0 Conference 2017' hosted by the Electronic Times held at the Korea Broadcasters Center.

Under the main theme 'Strategy and Vision for Korean Smart Factories', various presentations by leading smart factory manufacturing companies from Germany, France and USA as well as domestic corporations were held, covering establishment cases of smart factories and solutions. During the keynote speech, Dr. Kim explained on the essential aspects of digital transformation, and introduced Siemens digital solutions in various business areas such as smart factories, infrastructure and cities, energy management and more.

Additionally, based on Siemens experience, the importance of building mutual cooperation among government, academia and industry sectors for deciding on future directions was emphasized, while further suggestions on the development in personnel, digital enterprise, digital investments and other areas were provided. Participants who attended to the conference were able to learn more about future strategies of domestic and foreign cases and how smart factories have been transformed with digitalization.
