DF/PD participates in “Smart Factory+Automation World 2018”

Digital Factory & Process Industries and Drives Division (DF/PD) at Siemens Ltd. Seoul (SLS) participates in “Smart Factory+Automation World 2018,” Korea’s largest industrial automation and smart factory exhibition, held at COEX, Seoul, from March 28 to 30. Under the theme “Digital Enterprise · Implement Now,” SLS installed the largest booth, where it introduced various smart factory solutions tailored to customer needs for different industries, such as the discrete industry and process industry. Furthermore, SLS will showcase more diversified functions of “MindSphere”, the cloud-based, open IoT operating system, which was introduced last year for the first time in Korea.

Dieter Schletterer, Vice President of DF/PD at SLS said, “Visitors will be able to experience real use cases of the adoption of Siemens’ innovative Digital Enterprise in the discrete industry and process industry. Also, the ease of MindSphere’s connectivity with equipment, as well as the method in which it creates and analyzes data will be showcased,”  Meanwhile, Mr. Schletterer will be presenting the opportunities created from digitalization on March 30, under the topic “Digitalization changes everything”, as a keynote speaker during the Smart Factory Conference.
