Siemens Ltd. Seoul participates in ‘Fair Player Club Seminar for Business Ethics and Compliance’

Siemens Ltd. Seoul(SLS) participated in the ‘Fair Player Club Seminar for Business Ethics and Compliance’ held at the Millennium Seoul Hilton on November 21. Celebrating the 3rd anniversary this year, The Fair Player Club (FPC) is the only Korean project among the 24 anti-corruption projects of the 'Siemens Integrity Initiative' conducted by Siemens and World Bank to promote collective action for anti-corruption.

The seminar was held with the aim of strengthening anti-corruption capabilities of foreign companies, including Germany and domestic companies that run business in overseas market, while finding ways to prevent corporate corruption at an earlier stage. During the event, German anti-corruption laws and global standards for anti-corruption measures were introduced along with compliance best practice sharing of German representative companies such as SLS and Mercedes-Benz Korea. Particularly in this seminar, pre-workshops were held for Siemens and its partner companies. SLS explained its efforts for compliance in the pre-workshop, encouraging its partners to cooperate closely and together held a pledging ceremony.

Dr. JongKap Kim, Chairman and CEO of SLS said, "We hope that Siemens and other German companies will take the lead in creating a fair and clean corporate environment in Korea.  Siemens is constantly committed to conducting compliance efforts in a manner which is not a one-time effort and thus we will not spare the support for institutionalizing and establishing this program within our corporate culture."
