‘Siemens Green School’ was held on March 21 at Nam-gu, Incheon with participation of about 170 Grade 6 students from Haksan Elementary School. Approximately 35 participants including Siemens employee volunteers, instructors and college student supporters conducted the environment and science educational program.
Three main programs aiming to inform students about the current state of environmental challenges and to educate them about how to create a healthier Earth were conducted under the main themes of ‘Getting Closer to Energy’; ‘Learning about Energy’ and ‘Making Commitments’. In order to help students understand better and record on what they learn during the program, the workbooks were provided. Furthermore, the ‘green ninja’ video was played for the purpose of attracting the interest of the students towards carbon footprint. The next ‘Siemens Green School’ will be held on April 18 at Guhyun Elementary School in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul.
