Siemens Green School, February 2018

‘Siemens Green School’ was held on February 13th at Poongsan Building Training Room with participation of 30 elementary school students from social welfare centers. Approximately 50 participants including Siemens employee volunteers, instructors, and college student supporters conducted the environment and science educational program.

Three main programs aiming to inform students about the current state of environmental challenges and to educate them about how to create a healthier Earth were conducted under the main themes of ‘Getting Closer to Energy’; ‘Learning about Energy’ and ‘Making Commitments’. In order to help students understand better and record on what they learn during the program, work-books were provided. Furthermore, the ‘Green Ninja’ video was played for the purpose of attracting the interest of the students towards carbon footprint. Meanwhile, this year marks fifth year of ‘Siemens Green School’, and it became one of the representative educational citizenship programs in Korea. The Siemens Green School will continue towards local students by visiting elementary schools on a monthly basis.
