Siemens Business Conference Korea 2019

‘Siemens Business Conference Korea 2019’ was held at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas Hotel Rose Room on December 11 with the participation of around 70 top managers from all Siemens entities in Korea.

Starting with the 'Safety Moment' from Mr. SunHak Lee of EHS, the management message by Mr. ChewKong Lum, President & CEO of Siemens Korea was delivered, which included a performance flashback of the fiscal year 2019, current status of the vision 2020+ implementation project and future direction of Siemens Korea. Afterwards, presentations of the three Operating Companies - Digital Industries(DI), Smart Infrastructure(SI), and Gas and Power(GP) - and Portfolio Company(PoC) were followed for sharing the current status and strategies for the new fiscal year. During the afternoon, representatives from the Strategic Companies - Siemens Healthineers(SHL), Siemens Molbility(SML) and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy(SGRE) - presented on their performances and strategies for FY20.

Next, the ‘Werner von Siemens(WvS) Country Award’ ceremony was held, in which 3 teams in total - SI (Project/Category: Cross-Company Business Excellence Case that Spurs Extensive Opportunities/Customer First), GP (Project/Category: GS EPS - Siemens Digital Cooperation-building on a long-standing partnership/Customer First) and Tax Department (Fighting to win - spirit for last 8 years worth €4million cash tax refund for Siemens/Siemens Matters) - were awarded.

As SI was selected as one of the ‘Best 60(Top 15 within the category ‘Customer First’)’ at the ‘Werner von Siemens Award’ by Siemens AG, a special trophy and certificate were awarded to the team in recognition of their great efforts and contribution to Siemens Korea. After the ceremony, the best practice sharing session from Mr. JaeKyun Kim of SI was followed. During the wrap-up of the conference, Mr. Lum emphasized once again that "We can go through hard times and the company's goal of FY20 - "Clear the Bar" - would only be achievable if we all work TOGETHER." The conference ended successfully with a group photo session where every participants took part.
