Siemens Business Conference Korea 2018

‘Siemens Business Conference Korea 2018’ was held at Grand Hyatt Seoul on December 4 with the participation of around 70 top managers from all Siemens entities in Korea.

Starting with the opening video of the ‘Siemens Business Conference 2018’, the management message by Mr. ChewKong Lum, President & CEO of SLS was delivered, which included a flashback of the last fiscal year’s performance, current status of the vision 2020+ implementation project and compliance message. After, presentations of the three Operating Companies - Digital Industries(DI), Smart Infrastructure(SI), and Gas and Power(GP) - were followed for sharing the current status and strategies for the fiscal year. After lunch, representatives from the Strategic Companies - Siemens Healthineers(SHS), Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy(SGRE), and Siemens Mobility(SML) - presented on their performances and strategies for FY19.

Next, the ‘Werner von Siemens(WvS) Award’ ceremony was held, in which 3 teams in total - Digital Factory and Process Industries & Drives(DF/PD)(Project/Category: Nexen Tire Czech Republic Greenfield project with most entire Siemens solution as the 1st reference/Customer First), Communications(CC)(Project/Category: Siemens Green School/Siemens Matters) and Energy Management(EM)(Project/Category: Become No.1 supplier in Japanese dominated utility market via cross border collaboration/Performance) - were awarded with the ‘Siemens Korea Country Award’.

In particular, DF/PD Division was selected as ‘Top 60(Top 15 within the category ‘Customer First’)’ at the ‘Werner von Siemens Award’ and therefore a special trophy and certificate were awarded to this team in recognition of their great efforts and contribution to Siemens Korea. After the ceremony, the best practice sharing session from DF/PD was followed. During the wrap-up of the conference, Mr. Lum emphasized once again the direction towards the company's common goal of Vision 2020+ - "Raising the Bar” - and that this goal would only be achieved if we all work “TOGETHER". As a symbolic gesture for supporting his message, the whole management team of Siemens Korea was invited to the stage and a big ‘TOGETHER’ sticker was placed to the Vision 2020+ banner.
