‘The NANUM’ volunteer corps deliver briquettes to needy neighbors for the 6th straight year

On February 2nd, ‘The NANUM’ volunteer corps of Siemens Korea conducted Briquette Delivery for National Basic Livelihood Security recipient families, elderly living alone, elderly couples, and lower income families in BaekSa Village, Nowon-gu, Seoul with the participation of about 50 employees. ‘The NANUM’ volunteer corps donated 10 million KRW to Seoul Yeontan Bank, equal to around 14,268 home-heating charcoal briquettes, of which 3,000 were delivered door to door on this day by the employees.

Since 2013, about 380 Siemens Korea employees have visited the same neighborhood annually to deliver charcoal briquettes over the past six years, recording 60 million KRW in donations and about 110,000 briquettes delivered to date. “Siemens Korea employees put our corporate culture of sharing and loving into action, participating in voluntary donations and CSR programs every year”, “We hope this briquette delivery will support needy neighbors in enduring the severe cold wave and the following spring cold snap” said Dr. JongKap Kim, Chairman and CEO.
