Mr. Cedrik Neike's Visit to Korea

Mr. Cedrik Neike, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG and responsible for Energy Management Division and Asia - Australia regions, visited Korea on November 14-15.

On the first day of his visit, Mr. Neike met various representatives of major domestic customers. On the second day, he gave a key note speech at 'The 8th Asia Future Forum' hosted by Hankyoreh newspaper and held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce＆Industry. During his keynote speech under the topic "Robots, AI and jobs - The digital transformation and new ways of working", Mr. Neike introduced the cases of German companies such as Data Centers where blue and white collar workers find ways of collaboration based on digitalization and explained the future landscape of labor environment.

Afterwards, he participated in the roundtable discussions where in-depth discussions with various panels under the topic ‘Social Consensus of ‘Good Work’' were held. In the afternoon, a town hall meeting was held in the auditorium of Poongsan Building with participation of around 250 employees of Siemens Ltd. Seoul. Mr. Neike delivered a speech under the theme 'Digitalization and Outlook for Asia', stressing decarbonization, decentralization and digitalization as solutions for current global warming issues.

In addition, he encouraged employees to feel proud of working at Siemens, keep challenging for innovations and digitalization, and self-improvement. Q&A was held after the speech, where many interactive discussions were held with the participants. After the town hall meeting, Mr. Neike visited the new opened ‘Siemens Digital Innovation’ on the 1st floor of Poongsan Building where the overall digital portfolio of Siemens is displayed and introduced.
