Dr. Busch lectures at ‘SIBAC 2018’

Dr. Roland Busch, Member of the Managing Board and Chief Technology Officer of Siemens AG, visited Korea and participated at the ‘Seoul International Business Advisory Council 2018’(SIBAC) on November 9.

The SIBAC is a Seoul Metropolitan Government advisory organization which was established in 2001, aiming to take counsel of plans from leaders and experts of various fields in order to develop Seoul as a globally competitive city. At the council, Dr. Busch gave a lecture under the topic ‘Shaping the future with a powerful ecosystem’. During the lecture, Dr. Busch introduced ‘Next 47’ which was initiated in 2016 with the purpose of achieving Siemens’ innovation goals and satisfying the needs for start-ups. In order to develop Seoul into becoming the best city for start-ups, Dr. Busch emphasized the importance of an integration of various elements including investment, human resources, intellectual capabilities, regulatory frameworks and moreover, the ‘Unicorn’ - an ecosystem creation for global start-ups and next generation.
