In September, Digital
Industries (DI) Motion Control (MC) at Siemens Korea successfully signed a
project contract to expand processing capacity of Incheon International Airport
Terminal 2 Baggage Handling System (BHS).
This 4th phase of the Incheon International Airport
project, which P&S (POSCO & Siemens Logistics GmbH)
Consortium has been nominated as a total solution provider, will run until
October 2025, while DI MC will supply SIMOGEAR geared motors to the conveyor
drive, a core component of BHS.
DI MC has already provided a total of approximately
26,000 geared motors to Incheon International Airport over the past 10 years,
and was able to win this mega project by maintaining high quality of products
and customer satisfaction, including local KEMCO certification, 24/7 standby
service, and continuous repairing service. Incheon International Airport is
currently planning the 5th phase which will begin in 2025, and based on the
achievement so far, it is expected for DI MC to be able to participate in the
upcoming phase as well.
