DF/PD participated in Machine Tool Trade Show, ‘SIMTOS 2018’

Digital Factory/Process Industries and Drives Division (DF/PD) at Siemens Ltd. Seoul (SLS) participates in “SIMTOS 2018,” an international production and manufacturing technology exhibition, held at KINTEX, Ilsan, Korea, for five days from April 3 to April 7. SIMTOS 2018, which marks its 18th anniversary this year, is Korea’s largest exhibition of its kind and one of the world’s top four machine tool trade shows along with EMO Hannover Machine Tool Show, International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) of the U.S., and the China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT). Siemens installs 30 booths at the exhibit and presents the current status and future of smart factory, introducing its totally integrated hardware and software portfolio.

Under the title “Digitalization in Machine Tool Manufacturing,” DF/PD showcases various digital software related to Computer Numerical Control(CNC) system, while demonstrating the integrated management of actual machine tools with MindSphere, the cloud-based, open IoT operating system. In addition, DF/PD will hold open-for-all seminars to introduce its VNCK(key controller software) simulation and integrated robotic solution along with additive manufacturing technology of Siemens on, April 5. Siemens booth will be located in Hall 8, #08E110 in exhibition center 2 of KINTEX.
