A key
feature of this exhibition is that its content can be customized to the needs
of visiting companies, reflecting the specific requirements of their target industries such as
machine tools, semiconductors, and logistics. This enables visiting companies
to experience more specific and practical solutions tailored to their actual
business needs.
For
this exhibition, Siemens will leverage the cutting-edge concepts and industry
insights Siemens has cultivated globally to provide content that allows
visitors to clearly experience the value of digital twins and digital threads.
Furthermore, the company will not only showcase technologies but also hold
workshops to support idea generation and concept development aimed at
transforming the future business models of equipment manufacturers. Looking
beyond the traditional business model of "selling equipment," it will
provide a forum where equipment manufacturers and Siemens can discuss and
co-create new business opportunities with a view to expanding into data-driven
services, remote maintenance, subscription-based services, and continuous
delivery models.
"Through
exhibitions and workshops that allow visitors to specifically envision the
future of equipment development, Siemens will support the creation of new value
that translates the advanced technologies and manufacturing expertise of
Japanese equipment manufacturers into even greater competitive advantages," said Kuni Horita, President and CEO, Siemens
K.K.
Siemens
provides solutions that digitally connect and optimize the entire development
process end-to-end, from equipment concept design, electrical and mechanical
design, simulation, manufacturing, and commissioning to service and
maintenance. Another key feature is the ability to flexibly accommodate
anything from partial to comprehensive implementation according to the
customer's challenges and stage of development. With the launch of these new
exhibition content, Siemens will provide equipment manufacturers in Japan with
a comprehensive and practical opportunity to experience digital technologies.
Today,
the environment surrounding Japanese equipment manufacturers is entering a
period of major change. To respond to increasingly sophisticated market
demands, accelerating development cycles, labor shortages, and intensifying
global competition, the era has arrived in which "leveraging
digitalization" has become indispensable for equipment development. While
digital solutions have traditionally been provided primarily for manufacturing
sites and end users, it has now become possible to transform the very nature of
equipment development through the use of advanced technologies such as digital
twins and digital threads.
