Flender K.K. to start business in Japan

Siemens AG carved out its MD unit in October 2017 to start operating the company as Flender GmbH.  Since then, Siemens has been carving out its Mechanical Drives unit (MD) to take on the new name Flender worldwide. This includes also Flender’s Winergy gear and generator Business.

Siemens K.K., Siemens regional company in Japan, as well, is carving out the relevant business. It will transfer such business to Flender K.K., a company newly established by Flender GmbH, effective March 1^st, 2021.After the business transfer, the unchanged business and service including Winergy will be continued at Flender K.K.

Flender is a world-leading supplier of mechanical and electrical drive systems, as well as the global champion in the wind and industrial gears space. Flender will accelerate its growth and fully develop its strengths through more independence and greater leeway for decisions. It enables Flender to  address its customers’ requirements in an even more targeted way with its unique products, technology portfolio and its global presence.
