Siemens Ltd. and BVCOE sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for providing leading- edge Training Program

Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering and Siemens India Ltd (SITRAIN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to conduct faculty training program for Automation and Process Instrumentation. The MoU was signed by Nilesh Sawant, Chief Manager-Training, SITRAIN, Siemens Ltd. & Dr. M.Z. Shaikh, Principal of Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai.
Speaking on this occasion Nilesh Sawant said “As an organization, Siemens believes in fostering sustainable partnerships with academic institutions for knowledge sharing. We are proud to associate with Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering through this MoU and believe that it would serve as a vital link in reducing the technology adoption curve especially in the world of process automation & instrumentation.”
The MoU would facilitate in promoting the SITRAIN, Siemens Ltd. designed training courses to the faculty of various Engineering Colleges across Mumbai and Maharashtra. The training module has been designed with an objective to provide effective, flexible and value-based training to faculty. The certification courses encompass a step-by-step learning approach and also include demonstration sessions as well as hands-on practice sessions.
Expressing his delight about the newly-formed collaboration, Dr. M.Z. Shaikh, said, “This is an excellent example of co-ordination and co-operation between Industry and Institute.” Further seconding the concept was Mrs. Vineeta Kohli, Head of Department – Instrumentation, Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, said, “The aim of this training is to train the trainer which will result in quality teaching in Instrumentation field and will help in increasing awareness about Instrumentation field amongst the masses”. The MoU thus signifies the collaboration of the industry and education sector in order to provide high quality teaching concepts to the faculty. 
The first training program as part of the partnership between Siemens and Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering on ‘Automation and Process Instrumentation’ will be conducted during the months of June and July 2012.
