Siemens growth gains momentum:

The company’s Profit from Operations for the year ended September 30, 2010 increased by 26% to Rs. 11,917 million as compared to Rs. 9,454 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. In FY 2009, the Profit after Tax (PAT) included Rs. 2,229 million as a one time dividend income and Rs. 1,680 million as profit (net of tax) on sale of Siemens Ltd.’s erstwhile subsidiaries - Siemens Information Systems Ltd. (SISL) and Siemens Information Processing Services Pvt. Ltd. (SIPS). Accounting for this one time effect, the PAT for FY 2010 grew by 27% and stood at Rs. 8272 million.
The Order Backlog as of September 30, 2010 stood at Rs. 135,839 million, a rise of 32% (September 30, 2009: Rs. 102,918 million). As on September 30, 2010, Siemens Ltd. had 7,488 Employees as against 6,683 on the corresponding date in the previous year.
The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of Rs.5/- for an equity share of Rs.2/- each for the financial year ended September 2010. During the previous fiscal too, the Company had paid a dividend of Rs. 5/- for an equity share of Rs. 2/- each.
For fiscal 2009-10, the consolidated result of Siemens Ltd. Group includes that of Siemens Ltd., Siemens Building Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Siemens Rolling Stock Pvt. Ltd. (SRSPL),
